With more than thirty years in the garment industry Mr. Paspat Shah (Amit) started Nepal Leather Craft with a vision - to fill the void of quality leather products within Nepal. His business model was redefined ten years ago with the addition of his daughter Alisha (MBA) to include the stipulation of employing women who have faced unthinkable challenges through a partnership with Saathi Sanstha, a leading organization instrumental in drawing national attention towards domestic violence in Nepal. Today, Amit and Alisha lead a company guided by the same values as her father and surrounded by a team of women managers lifted up in a safe place of hope, healing and dignity.

A Word to Buyers
Hello. My name is Richard Speck, Rick to my friends, something that I hope will occur to all who read this note. At the age of fourteen I was chosen to join the executive board of a major religious organization, and have always been the man to go to when everything seems impossible. Reviving "dead" communities, creating a safer halloween night, building a means of controlling expenses and growth when a restaurant was seeing success beyond their ability to control, and most recently increasing communication between remote locations in Alaska TSA's system, covering an area roughly one third the size of the 'lower 48'. I met Amit and Alisha in New York seven years ago while researching materials for a product I was developing. I kept their card and gave them a call when I decided I couldn't trust my primary supplier. Amit and Alisha immediately took me in as family while I visited, and provided timely prototypes for a trade show in Las Vegas in March of 2020; unfortunately day one of the event was the same day the entire country was shut down for COVID. Throughout the next few years we kept in contact. The Shahs suffered greatly at the hands of the disease, but they never lost faithin me, and I them, and they kept growing and innovating. Now we have formed a partnership to bring to you the best of a high quality company. We would love to have you join our family.
A Word to Influencers
Influencers have become an important part of the Nepal Leather Craft family, and they will continue to be a vital part of Kali's rise. The influencers working with the Shah family have seen great success in their country, and always turn to Nepal Leather Craftwhen an event is important. The U.S. embassy asked the Shah's to put together a collection for the upcoming Creator event January 21, where local influencers will have an opportunity to connect with international contacts. Their products have been seen in events as notable as London Fashion Week, and I'm sure Kali will appear in New York Fashion Week soon. Influencers have used the Shah's exposure to become top models and movie stars in Nepal and Australia; we hope you will recognize the opportunity that Kali represents. A Final Word
Amit's birthday was celebrated recently, and he chose to celebrate with his factory family. After the ceremony, he went and found every employee unable to attend, spending time and handing out chocolates to everyone in the building--I watched with Alisha through CCTV as we had a meeting scheduled once he had finished. Alisha is treated as a sister by all in the factory as well, her upbeat disposition yet serious demeanor keeps the factory flowing smoothly. Kali is just the beginning, but what a beginning it will be. The greatest accomplishment in my life is rebounding from a total spinal collapse, spending eighteen months in bed staring at a ceiling. After three years medical science gave up on me due to the high chance of paralysis, so I spent fifteen years doing my own research, testing hypotheses, and working through the pain until exercising developed enough muscle to allow me a normal existence. Had I not gone through this experience I would likely have not met Amit, Alisha, and their incredibly welcoming staff. Now that you know the story of this courageous, talented team, I hope you will choose Kali and all she represents--the strength, determination and support of those who have been down, and those who have raised each other to a greater place.
